A
nationally renowned online marketing expert who will conduct a free
seminar at the Johnson City Country Club Jan. 21 said Tuesday he can
help businesses “find the easiest and simplest ways to shift their
strategy in order to find new customers on the Internet.”
The 8:30-10:30 a.m. seminar with Mike Blinder, called “The ABC’s of
Interactive Marketing,” is open to area business owners or their
representatives. Blinder, a former radio and television broadcaster,
started the Internet media division for a large media group.
Now a consultant, Blinder owns a company that has designed a
multimedia marketing program in use by thousands of businesses
worldwide — including giants like Citibank and SAP Software.
“In these challenging economic times, more and more advertisers
are trying this because they’re looking for new solutions to grow their
businesses,” Blinder said.
“The great advantage is that it doesn’t require tens of
thousands of dollars for Web development and new software and things
like that.”
Instead, the seminar focuses on topics such as:
• How to improve a Web site, and whether your company even needs one.
• How to use e-mail marketing to your advantage.
• How to get found on the Internet, and how search engines and search engine optimization work.
• How to use the e-commerce system to sell products online.
• The best ways to get an advantage from Web marketing.
“We’ll also get into how you can work better with local media
companies to leverage their existing audience to grow your business,”
Blinder said.
The event is geared for a wide audience, including people who don’t consider themselves tech-savvy.
“I don’t care if you can’t even send e-mail — you’ll find
something valuable from this seminar to help your business,” Blinder
said.
Seating for the seminar is limited, and the registration
deadline is Friday. To RSVP, call 722-0517 or e-mail
